Welcome to The Newton Theatre
The Newton Theatre (Sky PAC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
The historic Newton Theatre, founded in 1924, is a beautifully restored 605 seat performing arts center in the heart of Sussex County, presenting diverse programming, including world-renowned music acts, comedians, family productions, holiday shows and much more, in an intimate setting. Iconic performers such as Todd Rundgren, Judy Collins, Lyle Lovett, Kansas, Arlo Guthrie, David Cassidy, Jon Anderson, Clint Black, The Bacon Brothers, The Bangles, and The Glenn Miller Orchestra have all graced the stage. Its historic charm and world-class entertainment make The Newton Theatre NJ Skylands' premier entertainment venue.
The Newton Theatre also shows movies on the biggest screen in Sussex County with an all new digital movie and surround sound system. Films are screened weekly, from classic, Indie and smaller films to current, acclaimed movies, like Oscar winners and contenders (Moonlight, La La Land, Lion, Hidden Figures, Manchester by the Sea), as well as event films like Rocky Horror Picture Show and film festivals.
The Newton Theatre Arts Academy opened in January 2018. The Arts Academy serves students from 5 years of age and older, with acting classes, production workshops, choreography, visual arts and more.
The Newton Theatre is proud to give back to our community, holding an annual Autism Awareness and Fundraising event, and other events to benefit Veterans and local schools. We also hold drives to collect clothing and food for those in need, and pet food and supplies for local shelters.
The Newton Theatre (Sky PAC), a 501(c)(3) corporation, is dedicated to providing programs that educate, entertain and inspire all audiences regardless of ethnicity, age or income level.
